Civil Partnership Ceremonies
and Same-Sex Marriages

Beulah URC is able and glad to host Civil Partnership Ceremonies.

We have designated the Leaver Room in the Canolfan for such ceremonies and it can seat up to 85 people comfortably. Our Minister and authorised persons are unable to conduct the ceremony as the law requires it to be conducted by a Civil Partnership Registrar.

This means that any ceremony must be arranged jointly between Beulah and the Cardiff County Council Registrars Office. For more detailed information please visit the Cardiff Council website.

As the Civil Partnership Ceremony is required to be non-religious, we would be pleased to conduct a blessing of such a partnership, which would take place following the ceremony in the church sanctuary.

Following the decision of the General Assembly of the URC in July 2016 to allow local URC congregations to conduct same-sex marriages, Beulah Church Meeting voted to become so registered and this came into effect in August 2017.

Contact the Church Secretary for more details.
