YOU are welcome at Beulah
Prayer for the New Year Lord of yesterday, today and tomorrow, Lord of today, we pause to acknowledge your presence with us here. We are grateful to gather with these people around us this morning. We remember some who are missing, because they are away today or because they are no longer living. In this moment, we are grateful for the many people who have populated our lives with love. Thank you. Lord of tomorrow, as we step into a new year, we are conscious that we don’t know what the coming year will hold. As the year dawns, there are things of which we are afraid--
We carry worries about health and family, job security and finances; worries about the state of the word from Venezuela and the US involvement to Gaza and Ukraine, to Sudan and rising waters threatening many island nations. Lord of Tomorrow, as you were present in our yesterdays, we trust you will be present in what is to come, in our lives and in the life of the world. Lord of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, whatever the year holds for us, we trust You. We place the days of this year in your care, knowing that, as in the past, You are with us, caring for us with your constant love. And as the year unfolds, we offer ourselves in your service to those we encounter along the way. Amen.
